Vision:
We are pioneering a Christ-centered hybrid model that reforms education embracing God’s design: family centered, faith-filled, and wonder-inspired—cultivating wholehearted, lifelong learners rooted in Christ and equipped to flourish.
Mission:
At Wholehearted Schoolhouse, our mission is to partner with families in providing a hybrid education that nurtures the whole child - heart, mind and spirit. Through two days of engaging, on-campus instruction and activities, two days of parent-led home learning using our rich curriculum, and weekly family nature gatherings, we cultivate a community where students grow in knowledge, faith and wonder. Rooted in Christ and connected to creation, we seek to empower families to lead their children’s education while fostering a lifelong love for learning and for the Lord.
Weekly Schedule
At Wholehearted Schoolhouse, we believe homeschooling is a beautiful opportunity to slow down, draw close as a family, and disciple our children with intention. Our hybrid model was born out of a desire to support families in this calling—offering structure without rigidity, and community without compromising the freedom that makes homeschooling so rich. By blending the best of home education with thoughtfully planned campus days, we provide a flexible rhythm that nurtures both academic growth and wholehearted living.
-
Home days are the heart of homeschooling—slow mornings, meaningful work, and space to disciple our children deeply. Families follow a provided rhythm and lesson plan at home, allowing parents to take the lead in core subjects while weaving in family culture, Scripture, and creativity. These days build consistency, confidence, and connection.
-
On campus, students gather in multi-age groups to engage in rich, hands-on learning. With a focus on literature, science, history, and the arts, our Schoolhouse Days bring subjects to life through discussion, group projects, and shared experiences. Led by caring teachers, these days foster friendship, accountability, and joy-filled growth.
-
Fridays are the glory days. Families are invited to gather for nature outings, hikes, picnics and field trips. These days are optional but deeply valuable—offering space to slow down, explore creation, and build lasting friendships. They remind us of the simple beauty of learning outside the four walls. Nature Fridays will meet at various locations within the surrounding Forney area. Family spots must be reserved at the beginning of each semester. Parent or guardian supervision is required on these days.
We love offering opportunities for students to explore and learn beyond the classroom! While the majority of our Nature Friday gatherings are free and open to all families, there may occasionally be a small fee for special field trips or events that require admission. We aim to keep costs minimal and will always communicate details well in advance.
